2012 March 31st...

One year has passed since the Tohoku, Kanto Big Earthquake. We, Psydoll have sent money to the Meiyukan, Ishinomaki, Miyagi-ken.

This is a independent volunteer group that was established by the local people, and has been supporting all of the residents around the disaster area who has not received enough support from major institutions.

It's a firm fact that the Japan Red Cross received an large sum of money from all over the world, but unfortunately the government kept most of these money for reconstruction funds. Because of this system, the financial support for these local people were drastically reduced.

On top of all this reduced support, the government issued an very formal and equal spread of funds, resulting in an even slower and limited funds and many people are currently still in trouble.

Meiyukan has been supporting these people with their own strategies. Speed and balance is their name of the game.

Psydoll was able to meet a camera man name Shiggy Yoshida, who has been taking photos of the struggle and reconstruction of the aftermath. By meeting Shiggy Yoshida, Psydoll was introduced to the Meiyukan group and has decided to donate.

To all of the people who purchased our CDs and products, thank you very much for you strong support.

*Check out Meiyukan's website for some strong photos. Even though the website is written mainly in Japanese, photos speak louder than words.

*Shiggy also has a cool website. He posts many of the photos he has taken during the destruction and reconstruction.
